Challenge: To help support its successful specialty care service lines, a large health system in Atlanta, Georgia needed to expand access to outpatient physical therapy across the region. The need to expand outpatient PT access was motivated by several factors, including:

• A disconnected ambulatory network due to a recent hospital acquisitions
• Growing patient needs for additional ambulatory care sites
• The desire to grow the orthopedic service line

Result: Since the start of the partnership in 2015, the health system has increased annual PT clinic visits from 60,000 to nearly 380,000 – a 530% increase! In 2023, PT Solutions treated 35,000 new patients – 70%+ of which were referred from outside the health system.
